The Challenge
A national pathology lab in the Pacific Northwest was facing issues with their manual processes for managing provider rule preferences. The main challenges were:
Slow Rule Allocation: Manually assigning rules for providers caused delays and increased the chances of errors.
Contract Management Problems: There wasn’t a simple way to handle contracts related to these rules, making the workflow even more complicated.
Lack of Automation: The entire process, from rule assignment to contract management, was manual and time-consuming.
Need for Simplicity: They needed an easy-to-use system to streamline rule management and contract sign-offs.
Our Approach
To address these problems, Gistia built a custom automated solution designed specifically for the lab’s needs:
Easy-to-Use Interface: We developed a simple interface using Salesforce Lightning Web Components, making it easier for client services and sales teams to manage provider rules.
Automated Rule Assignment: We upgraded the Provider Ordering Console to automatically assign rules based on provider preferences, reducing manual work.
DocuSign Integration: This integration allowed contracts related to rule subscriptions to be automatically created and sent to providers for signatures, supporting both online and in-person signing.
LigoLab Integration: We synced the system with LigoLab, ensuring that rules were activated seamlessly based on provider preferences.
The Results
The solution led to major improvements for the pathology lab:
Faster and More Accurate: Automating the rule assignment process cut down on manual errors and sped things up, saving the team valuable time.
Streamlined Contract Management: With DocuSign, contracts were automatically generated and signed, making the whole process quicker and smoother.
Better Provider Satisfaction: Thanks to the seamless rule activation through LigoLab, provider preferences were accurately implemented, reducing delays.
Operational Improvements: The team was happier, and the lab’s overall workflow became more efficient.
In short, this solution helped the lab save time, reduce errors, and created a more scalable, sustainable system for managing provider rules and contracts.
